In very high doses grenz rays cause a superficial destruction of the skin which can be used in the treatment of superficial malignant skin lesions

Hedblad and Mallbris have recently presented a study of more than 500 patients with LM who have been treated with grenz rays.

They conclude that grenz rays is a highly suitable complement or alternative to surgical excision of LM, especially, for treatment of large lesions. The cosmetic outcome of the treatment was excellent.
